@frommerstravel

It's been 55 years since Arthur Frommer, founder of Frommer's Travel, published his first of many travel guides, Europe on $5 a Day. This guide revolutionized the way American's travel in the late 1950's, but Frommer's continues to offer sound advice through more modern mediums. Today, Frommer's still prints guides to destinations across the world, but also offers online travel advice. Because of their information-rich website and convenient presence on Twitter, Frommer's Travel is being recognized as a tweeter to follow for travel!

Here's the tweet that caught my eye:
With Spring Break a few short weeks away (hallelujah!), most of us are frantically trying to pull together a decent vacation. This tweet spoke right to my heart and gave me 15 great ideas for getaways. My favorite idea was the Yoga Vacation, but I also loved the bit on Las Vegas and their feature photo of, in my opinion, the greatest pool in Vegas: The Shark Tank at the Golden Nugget

  1. Nice review of the travel site. The shark tank at the Golden Nugget looks fun :) I'm wondering if all those offers are only targeted towards females or maybe also to guys. I can see a difference between the yoga vacation vs. the Vegas trip.

  2. With a title like "Girlfriend Getaways," the tweet I featured from Frommer's was apparently targeting women. But check out this article that was featured in a tweet from @frommers today: The World's Best Cities for Beer
    Looks like they know how to reach guys as well!
